The United States has suffered a decline in credibility, reputation, and unity within NATO. The decision to engage in conflict has diminished President Trump’s standing, while the world’s foremost power has experienced an erosion of its global stature.
Israel, in asserting its position, has nonetheless incurred reputational costs. Its international standing has weakened, and the limited support it once retained across the world has further diminished. Even within the United States, sympathy among certain Christian communities has declined.
Saudi Arabia has forfeited its position as the most influential state in the Muslim world and has seen its prestige diminish among Sunni Muslims globally.
The United Arab Emirates has lost its image as one of the world’s safest nations. Its perceived strength has been called into question, affecting its credibility as well as its tourism- and trade-based economy.
Pakistan’s military, by contrast, has enhanced its influence as a result of this conflict. It has reinforced its position as the only Muslim nuclear power with credible capability, gaining recognition, respect, and an increased sense of reliability.
Iran have won the hearts of millions of Sunni Muslims and have emerged as a significant force across the Muslim world. Despite threats from the United States and Israel—and at times the alignment of Gulf Arab states with them—you have established yourself as a formidable power.
Some wars cannot be lost, no matter how many times they are fought.
